Tough Trac Sponsors University of Tennessee in the Solar Decathlon 2011
In collaboration with the University of Tennessee Solar Decathlon design team and Tough Trac engineers, a unique and innovative solar array was created for their entry in this year's Solar Decathlon Design Contest.
Tough Trac was put to the test when the Decathlon team requested the concept of a 10.9 kW solar array with a design involving maximum overhangs and yet to be easily disassembled for transport to be built. This design concept was created to provide shading from the solar array and yet to still allow natural light to pass through to the interior of the house without compromising efficiency.
With the completion of their remarkable Living Light House, Tough Trac wishes the University of Tennessee and the Living Light Team all the best and to win the Solar Decathlon Contest for 2011.
